Casino Win Limits Explained
No deposit offers for Australians, each with the pros, cons and fine print in one card.
Compare BonusesCasino win limits explained briefly: a win limit, or max cashout, is the most you can withdraw from a bonus, however much it wins. On no deposit offers in our list it ranges from A$30 to A$200, and anything above it is removed when you cash out.
How a win limit works
A no deposit bonus gives you something for nothing, and the casino limits its risk with a cap on what that something can become. That cap goes by several names: max cashout, max win, win limit or maximum conversion. They all mean the same thing: the largest amount you can withdraw from a particular bonus.
The cap applies after wagering. You play the bonus, meet the wagering requirement, and then the balance converts to real money up to the cap. If your balance is below the cap, you keep it all. If it's above, the excess is removed.
Real caps on no deposit offers
Here are the caps listed in our database for offers on this site, from lowest to highest.
| Casino | Offer | Wagering | Max cashout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stay Casino | 20 free spins | 40x | A$30 |
| AMPM | 35 free spins | 40x | A$30 |
| MilkyWay | 25 free spins | 40x | A$30 |
| HellSpin | 30 free spins | 40x | A$50 |
| SunnySpins | A$55 free chip | 50x | A$50 |
| Lincoln Casino | A$15 free chip | 40x | A$75 |
| Mega Medusa | 150 free spins | 30x | A$100 |
| BitStarz | 30 free spins | 40x | A$150 |
| PlayCroco | A$10 free chip | 60x | A$180 |
| Royal Reels | A$10 free chip | 40x | A$200 |
Ripper uses a different kind of cap: five times the bonus, rather than a fixed amount. If its 20 spins win A$4, the most you could withdraw is A$20.
How the cap changes an offer's value
Example 1: below the cap
You clear Royal Reels' A$10 chip and finish with A$85. The cap is A$200, so all A$85 is withdrawable (subject to KYC and the minimum withdrawal).
Example 2: above the cap
You clear Lincoln Casino's A$15 chip and finish with A$140. The cap is A$75, so A$75 is withdrawable and A$65 is removed.
Example 3: cap below the chip
SunnySpins lists a A$55 chip with a A$50 cap. Even if you finish wagering with exactly A$55, you can only take A$50. That's unusual, and a good reason to compare caps, not chip sizes.
Win limits on free spins vs free chips
The cap works the same way on both types of no deposit bonus, but it feels different. With a free chip, you know the starting amount, so you can see straight away how the cap compares: a A$10 chip with a A$200 cap has twenty times room to grow, while SunnySpins' A$55 chip with a A$50 cap has none. With free spins, you don't know the starting amount until the spins finish, so the cap can look generous or tight depending on what the spins return.
A good habit is to note the cap before you claim either kind of no deposit bonus, and to treat it as the realistic best case rather than a target. If the best case isn't worth the time the wagering will take, skip that no deposit bonus and pick one with better terms. If you're reading casino win limits explained Australia guides to compare offers, that one habit will do more than any other tip.
Why casinos use win limits
Without a cap, a lucky player could turn a A$10 chip into thousands, and the casino would have paid it out without ever receiving a deposit. Caps let casinos offer free bonuses at a predictable cost. That's also why caps on free offers are much lower than typical deposit bonus winnings: the casino has nothing from you yet.
Casino win limits explained Australia-wide: caps vs withdrawal limits
Don't confuse a bonus cap with a withdrawal limit. The cap applies to one bonus. Withdrawal limits apply to your whole account, whatever the source of the money.
- Ripper: A$2,000 per week.
- Ozwin: A$7,500 per week.
- Spin Samurai: A$1,500 per day.
- Woo Casino: A$4,000 per day, A$16,000 per 7 days, A$50,000 per 30 days.
For no deposit winnings, the bonus cap will almost always bite first. Withdrawal limits matter once you're depositing and winning larger amounts.
Minimum withdrawal: the other limit
There's also a floor. Ozwin lists a A$100 minimum withdrawal, and Mega Medusa A$100 as well. If your capped winnings are below that minimum, you'd need to keep playing or add funds before withdrawing. Check that the minimum withdrawal sits below the bonus cap before you claim.
Checking the cap before you claim
- Find the max cashout in the bonus terms. It's often listed next to wagering.
- Compare it with the minimum withdrawal. The cap should be higher, or the offer may be unwithdrawable.
- Work out the effort. Total wagering divided into the cap gives a rough sense of value.
- Know what happens to the excess. It's removed, so there's no point pushing the balance far past the cap.
Tactics that respect the cap
Once your balance passes the cap during wagering, extra wins don't help; they'll be removed. Some players reduce their bet size at that point to finish the wagering with less risk of dropping back below the cap. That's within the rules, provided you stay under the max bet. Our guide to max bet limits on bonuses explains the stake rules that apply throughout.
When comparing offers, look at the cap alongside wagering. A A$10 chip at 40x with a A$200 cap is friendlier than a A$15 chip at 40x with a A$75 cap. Our free chip page and free spins page put both numbers side by side for every offer, and the home page lists them all.
That's how a win limit works in practice: the cap is the ceiling, the wagering is the stairs, and the minimum withdrawal is the door you need to fit through.

Win limits FAQ
What is a max cashout on a casino bonus?
It's the most you can withdraw from winnings made with that bonus. If the cap is A$100 and you finish wagering with A$250, A$100 is paid and A$150 is removed.
Do deposit bonuses have win limits too?
Sometimes. No deposit offers almost always have a cap; deposit bonuses often don't, though some do. Ripper, for example, lists 25% cashback with no cashout cap.
Is a win limit the same as a withdrawal limit?
No. A win limit caps what a bonus can pay. A withdrawal limit caps how much you can take out per day, week or month, whatever the source. Ripper lists A$2,000 per week, for example.
Can I keep playing with winnings above the cap?
Usually not once wagering is complete: the excess is removed when the bonus converts to cash. Check the terms, since some casinos remove the excess at conversion and others at withdrawal.
